Southampton Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony 2016

Following last year’s successful event, former and current Apprentices from Southampton and the surrounding areas who have completed their Apprenticeship over the last year have been invited to a celebration event to celebrate their achievements. The ceremony will showcase the achievements of Southampton’s apprentices and will also feature guest speakers.

Thank you to all the Apprentices, Training Providers, Parents, Family and Friends who attended Southampton Apprentice Awards. The evening was very successful and it was great to see so many people come out to celebrate Apprenticeships in the city. Thank you to the Mayor of Southampton Councillor Catherine McEwing and David Moxon, Head of Apprenticeships at Solent University for giving out the awards and opening the ceremony. Thank you to Southampton City Council’s Chief Executive Dawn Baxendale for hosting the event. Some great speeches were heard from special guests Councillor Darren Paffey (Cabinet Member for Education and Skills), Debra McDermott (Head of Apprenticeships at Eastleigh College), Helen Mason (Assistant Principal at Southampton City College) and Dan Stickland (Apprentice Project Worker at Southampton City Council).
We would also like to thank Rob and the team at O2 Guildhall Southampton for making the event possible and also to all the volunteers who supported the event.
Finally, a massive congratulations to all the Apprentices who celebrated their achievements at the event.
